 Mykel got bit by the music bug at the tender age of 10 when he found a piano in somebody's basement, plunked out a song and realized " A person can actually make music!" Shortly after that a family friend brought over his guitar and was singing songs while he played... young Mykel was hooked. When he turned 12 his parents bought him a guitar and at 13 he and his buddies formed a band. Playing in bands as a teen, and continually writing music; Mykel has recorded various styles of music over the years. He enjoyed radio play with a song called "Don't Care" his original music and lyrics music in 1981.  Some of Mykel's Instrumental "new age" style of music also received radio play in 1987. He "hid in the basement" polishing his song writing and musical style until Moonfyre came along and there the story of Pocket Universe began! Mykel is also an accomplished poet, screen play writer and fiction author, expressing his talent in the spinning of words. Mykel also composes sound tracks, meditation music and sound signatures.
