Muzzled

I feel like I have been muzzled
caged
buried alive
and that I was the one holding the key
that is the part that burns my ass
I did this to myself
Me, not anyone else

I put myself here
in this hell
with wide open eyes
seeing nothing but fantasy
when the fantasy crumbled
and the raw reality exposed
I tried to make the fantasy real
I held the glue to the seams
drove in the last nail to my coffin

raging against what?
for whom?
I did this to me
If I saw it happening to anyone else
I would be furious
at the way they were being treated
I am a hypocrite
